Welcome to reallymeansounds.com, or RMS as it has become known - the home of motoring, motorsport and car enthusiasts in Northern Ireland. If this is your first time visiting the site, maybe you would like to know what RMS is, does and who the people are behind it.

Site Profile
Andy Cooper, from Belfast in Northern Ireland, set up the ReallyMeanSounds website back in early 2001 as a showcase for in car audio installations. To expand the site he added photos from any local events he attended and this had instant appeal to other car owners and enthusiasts.

And so popularity of the site exploded, and the car audio was left behind in favour of an online car enthusiasts website, with regular reporting on any and every possible car related event. With all this interest, the next logical step was to create Northern Ireland's first online motoring community: the RMS Forum.

Launched in November 2001, the forum has gone from strength to strength and now over ten years on it has more than 20,000 forum members with over 250,000 visitors/month. The site now stands as one of the busiest motoring sites in Northern Ireland.

The forum's success can partly be attributed to the friendly atmosphere and the wealth of knowledge and event information available, and is an essential resource for modified and performance car owners in Northern Ireland.

RMS now covers several events on a weekly basis, with several photographers and reporters giving up their free time like Andy to help make the site what it is. The site is recognised by many in the motor trade and is asked to present stands at shows and events.

Andy himself is actively involved with motorsport, track days and competing in drift competitions. This is complemented by an equally enthusiastic admin team who are also highly involved in the car scene here.
