Got the new rear light with built in indicators, and made up a tray for under the seat for the battery. Getting the seat section welded this week too.

Plans for the CBR are likely to change and evolve as I go but I want to make it more responsive for twisties and fun so going -1 front and +2 rear teeth, probably with a new 110 link chain I believe to fit.
Need to bite the bullet and buy risers and see if I can mount them in such a way that I can clear the top of the forks, top of dampers sit through the top yoke quite a bit!
Then pick a renthal bar for it to suit. Might need to extend the front brake lines and some of the switch gear wiring.
The bike already has fully adjustable front and rear suspension so I will set it up to be nice and firm to my liking once I have the bar position and gearing sorted.
As for the looks dept, probably be front fairing off and keep rear fairing on for now. may butcher the lower cowl from the front fairing into a belly pan.
Dominator style twin spot headlight unit and I will probably need either a cowl around the clocks, or if they are too big without the fairing I shall have to look into an aftermarket set of clocks for her.
I have an SP engineering big bore stubby exhaust, but its the wrong diameter so I am going to get a custom link pipe made up and maybe do some interesting placement, thinking can straight back, under the engine, turned to one side so it dumps out under the right footpeg or something. Just to be different lol.
(If I decide to keep the fairing on it I still want to do the higher bars for cruising about anyway!)
Then it will be a good service and cam chain tensioner relacement.
Then if it isn't summer by the time I have bothered to do all this I may go about hiding some of the switchgear/ do something cool with some of the buttons.
Have a great vision in my head of making a control panel hidden down one side of the frame under the fuel tank with jet fighter style covered switches for the kill swith and starter relays etc. Only a dream atm though!
Basically its going to be a streetfighter/stunt style bike for backroad blasting and arsing about rather than being about all out speed. but with the high bars and not ridiculous gearing it will still be comfy for the odd 40-60mph cruise about the place in the good weather days when you just want to waft along sunny places on a noisy bike!

Nice! Looks a smasher so far! From what I remember from the Japdreamz meets, your a giant lol If it's low will it not be a bugger to get your feet up & possitioned every time or dropping a foot to stop? .. Never mind this for a project, what ever happened to the Lude?

Bit late on the uptake but health to enjoy anyways! (y)

Hahaha, aye since I said that I've looked into different settings for and the drop that would still be comfortable for me wouldn't be worth the hassle. So I'm just going to get a belly pan instead.

Prelude is still on the go too man. Just slowly. This is more for a bit of craic to tinker at after work as the prelude down in the folks.

Thats pretty much my thinking behind this, just different style to it. Purely just for arsing about and having a bit of craic on it.
The renthal bars rise up a fair amount with risers so you should have no problem getting them to fit. I'll take a photo of these ones so you can see how high the the top of the forks come up through and the amount of clearance I have. My only issue is the way ive inverted them the brake pipe on the right hits the top of the folks but higher risers will sort that and still allow me to keep them :grinning:

I'm moving the ignition and start/kill switch down to a different place myself. Thought about building a smaller housing for the lights/indicators but thats just hassle i dont need lol. I'm just happy the lights are all working lol.
Would look cool though.

For the exhaust, id seen this before too, looks awesome, definitely do it!!

Yeah thats along the same thinking. Shall have to see what way my headers collect together though see if I can get a wee sleeve made up for it rather than having to tack the can onto the collectors. Would rather it was still removeable so normal exhaust could be put back in future if required, or at least normal pipe out to rear lol.
Also the end of my can points down slightly and is slash cut so I will probably be turning the can 90 degrees so the flames and any other substances bypass the rear wheel lol and I think it could look cool having an offset look!
I assume the bar risers you have are just bolted onto a drilled top yoke, it isnt a complete top yoke conversion you have?
Did you do them yourself and do you have any tips on getting the positioning right to drill the top yoke?

Cheers man.

Fitted the other headlight to it today and got it all working expect for the side lights, and now the rear light and brake light isnt working so think its got to do with the wire I left loose that I think is for the side lights. Wiring diagram here I come.

Also took it outside for some proper photo's....

Aye, I got a bit carried away lol. Kept going for runs when it was dry and would end up in Portrush, enniskillen, Dublin or somewhere daft.
So out of practice and I was wrecked after the first time I went down to Mexico so kept doing it just to get used to it again.

I have them inverted a bit to see what its like, still low, but not as low as the clip on's. Will try it when its eventually fired up again. I'll probably turn them back around lol.

Hows the new one going? Looks fantastic in the white man!

How much would you be looking for the dominators and do they have brackets with them? Cheers

Cheers guys

Have looked on eBay but only seeing the newer ones with a curvier shaped light in them. I only want either a square/rectangle or preferably the two little round lights.
