101 on the entry list, 31 MX5s but a rising number of Starlets and they are not all from the South either, good few Micras entered too

Hoping there's a bit of rain on the 26th up there for a few nice shots in the concrete yard

@Mark_S , sorry, but i can't find that picture i'm afraid. On the 306 Pete did and my later one, there was a T piece just under the boot floor, and then new lines directly to the caliper. pretty simple to be honest.

saying that.... Our hydraulic didn't work right for ages, and it took alot of fecking about to sort it. In the end up, most of the problem was with the lever and clevis. It wasn't applying force straight into the cylinder, but was hitting it at a slight angle. Made a big difference spending time adjusing it. @swansty could probably advise here as well. He has one in his saxo and it would near put you through the window iirc. afaik he has a brake bias valve in as well.

Dont know if it's the dramatic water splash / wheel in the air action, or the wheel extensions and chunky Minilites but that's feckin class!... I'm away to beat the MX into the shape of an 80's funkmobile!...Chevette / Mk2 Escort or something!....

just a few more taps!...

...ah feck!

I see a lot of seedings that i don't understand in that list!

148 Stephen Jess? I think he was 15th in the BADMCC rally
128 David Greer? Seriously!
151 Michael Smith? Last............ I'm not that bad!
116 Steven Ferguson, he won the last one

I also see people near the front that have never done an event yet!

Don't forget it's running a 1-50 and 100-151 split so the seeding isn't done in one big 151 group, rather groups of 50/51 as far as I know. To my eyes theres nothing overly odd looking on the list, 100-116 could all be in one place.... From memory the likes of Andy Johnson hasn't done a lot of lanes events, possibly only the INTBD every year but he is bloody quick. It's a nice touch having all the mx5s in one group too!

At the end of the day it's only a bit of fun over the Christmas holidays!

That's ok no worries @RComms.. Il bypass the load sensing valve and see where that gets me.

Meant to say Mark as well, don't worry too much if you don't get your hydraulic in. I'm running with no Hydraulic at the moment and have the worst turning circle in the world. Its usually pretty slick at this time of year in these tests, so the cable will be fine. Any of the tests that have '360's' like Lagan Valley Steels etc, will have acres of room around them, so you'll never be stuck :grinning:.

Ok there's no panic for the hydro then..

Quick question. How does insurance work for the event?
Does the £20 jelf cover me for the roads or do I need to get my own insurance sorted for the road

That will cover you on event, from when you leave the start venue until your back. Its only 3rd party and it covers you for road sections, so nothing more for you to get.

Hydro on the Saxo is fairly easy. Blank off one of the outlets to the rear on the MC. Run a single line in through the bulkhead to your hydro cylinder and then on out the back of the car under where the rear seats would be. Then t piece it out to each calliper. Throw away the load sensing valve but be careful, my foot brake will have the rear all over the place. I have a bias valve between the MC and the hydro cylinder but I don't think it's very effective. You want the expensive one, I think it's a triton to be any good. If your handy to Lisburn your welcome to call round and see my set up

Not long back from a good day's craic. (y)
Some of the tests were wild slippy and cut up second time round but only to be expected. We took it easy on the rough bits as we were using the son's daily driver lol.

Had a great day myself I have to say! Really good fun tests, I just need to get a working hydraulic handbrake now and the mx5 should be fairly well sorted (aside from my driving!)

I had a great day myself even tho I sumped the car and didn't finish.. Me and the brother had a huge smile on our faces most of the tests. Some of the tests were rough but that made them better

To say I'm nw hooked is an understatement
