Iv'e a detachable thule towbar on my 2008 leon, i would think it uses the same platform?
Your welcome to come and have a look if you want and remove it if it will fit your car as it was on it when i bought the car but i dont use it.
Open to offers on it, they are £250 new and go on ebay for anything from £60-100 used.
I havent even looked underneath but yeah i would think its just a bracket bolted onto the chassis
No problems. Been offered mk5 golf one for £35 going to get it Sunday, not sure if it fits Jetta if not ill just fit it to her golf and use it if need be
