Folks,

Just fitting a Pioneer head unit to my Caddy and have come across this.

The supplied adapter fits into one of the antenna ports but where does the little clip go?

Look at the wiring diagram for your pioneer that blue wire needs to connect to the "power antenna" or "antenna on"
Or "amp turn on"
Usually a blue or blue/white wire
Just wire it to that wire

even switched live would do if stuck but ideally the antenna output from the new radio as gizzy says.

The blue/white connects into the blue and says 'system remote control. This is the only wires of that colour.

Go for this one?

Seconded Pablo - the system remote is perfect - that's what the spur is for, a second "switched live"

Cool, all worked well. Thanks for the advice.

The shop told me I needed a permanent live from the fuse box. So wired one in and of course the feckin thing was on constantly ffs.

Wired in a second switched live instead and it's all running great.
