Cheers Kyle! Felt a bit surreal getting the 1st overall win.

WP_20160528_20_59_56_Pro.jpg

We'd made a few slip up's early on (including that little brush with a fence), so never thought for a moment we'd be in for a good finish, then a few top runners had some misfortune later on, whilst we felt we were flying. The two 'autotesty' tests were tough work for both driver and navi, but really rewarding if you managed to scramble through them. Barb definitely earned us the win in there!

I see you got crucified for a couple of fails, but there's plenty of times in or around the top 10, including a 4th fastest! Doing alright for a pair on their 2nd rally, with a car that still needs it's alignment looked at.

Asides from a little bit of difficulty finding one or two tests, we thought it was a super event with great tests, that ran like clockwork.

Yep, good run indeed. (y)
We didn't wake up until after the first loop.
Need to get the wand and guards fitted as we were doing a bit of reversing in some tight spots.
Have you still got the 4.7 diff in yours davy? We were behind you at the start of everlane and by god that thing just sat down and WENT. Class to watch. Saw you through Blackburn too and you were flying.

Yes it was great fun and loved the tests. Our wee car is going rightly considering all it cost, although the clutch started slipping late in the morning so I've ordered up a new one.
Looking forward to my first auto test tomorrow night :grinning:
I'm sure you'll have plenty more silverware by the end of the year Davy :grinning:

Hehe! Thought it was biting well on the concrete during the day. I get the same feeling watching others take off and bomb through some tests. Watched Mark Faulkner take off through Blackburn and turned and said to Barb "F?@k! There's no way we're going that hard!"

Cant remember the number of teeth but it works out at 4.625 : 1. It helps take off and is easier on the clutch too, tho it's hard to judge whether to be in 1st or 2nd for a lot of corners now.

Yeah, first feels too long in mine although it does mean you can hang onto it for longer in a test too. Although on some of the gravel sections, I was changing up to second to get less wheelspin / more grip and it just felt like it was bogging down. I think we'd be better spending time on concentrating on which direction to go rather than lower diff ratio's at the moment lol. My rear tyres are shreaded after Saturday too. On the upside, my new exhaust backfires just before you hit the limiter in first, therefore everything is great..;)

As of this afternoon only 3 spaces left for NUCC Targa, they are only running 60 cars so looks like there'll be a reserve list for it

Looking forward to NUCC targa. 6 tests done 3 times from what i hear with 3 of them in the same forest. Not many road miles and will likely be read up quite early like davagh was. Brand new event and should be good.

@Andy89 Some clubs are quicker than others at posting received entries, but guessing we'll hear word over the next week or so.

^^LOL!.. There were a few things in our favour that last one. Think we'll just concentrate on avoiding the dreaded DNF.

Looking forward to NUCC's 1st event. Heard good things about the multivenue autotest at the start of the year. Are you a member / in the organizing team @KREMER ?

@DavyC I hide in here when i"m not on FB, i"m COC on the targa rally. Should be a good wee event, i think the tests are good, whether everyone agrees or not we"ll have to wait and see, seeded entry list should be up on ANICC website tomorrow. The 3 people who won the 3 targa rallies this year are the top 3 seeds, hopefully we get good weather

You never know who's lurking about these forums eh. Just seen the seeded list last night... no pressure then! We'll take that as one last little bit of glory before we're put back in our place by the big boys. Hope it all works out well for you's.

Had a wee check over lastnight and think we're good to go. Just need to change a few tyres about. Did you get sorted for tyres @FM155 ?

If anyone needs to drop a trailer give me a shout. My yard is 4 mile up the road and out of the way. Saves them being dropped in the town as the car park is very open.

Trailer park is in one of the church carparks which will be locked after everyone is in
