A friend is looking for some cheap sound insulating material to line the inside of his boats outboard engine cover.

Has anyone for any recommendations where to pick something up locally and that won't be too expensive.

Thanks.

Is sound deadening still a big thing in the world of audio ICE? maybe be able to get some at a local installer, maybe even Halfords? or Cathcarts shop in Eniskillen might be able to advise. Would lining the inside of the cover restrict airflow and cooling?

He doesn't think so because it's water cooled he reckons, I haven't actually seen it.

@Woodcutter will pass on the info, maybe get you to bring me up a couple of sheets on the 23rd. Same boy wouldn't be in a massive rush!!
