There seems to be a huge following of classic and retro cars on here, which is a great alternative to the boring, mundane modern stuff like 320D's and Mk5/6/7 Golfs.

What classics and retro motors have the RMS crew acquired over the years?

Plenty of retro 205's, Mk 1/2 Escorts, E30's, Sierra's etc to be seen, along with some older classics such as Triumph's, MG's and Hillman's, so let's see them folks.

Have a few cars here that hardly qualify for classic status just yet.
And most are a work in progress, such as my Mk2 Gti Golf

One that I absolutely love is my Series 3 land rover. Endless character, and it never fails to amaze me how it manages to pass MOT each year.
Its a vehicle that I never intend to sell, it cost buttons, is tax exempt and insurance is next to nothing. And yet it can still be called on to tow a header for the combine grossing just shy of 3 ton!
Very different than the usual classic cars I'll admit, but I often get stopped and asked about it by people who used to have one.

Have had a load of 80's and 90's stuff. Had a thing for MK2 Golfs before the scene kids got them and pushed the prices through the roof. Can't find pics of the others but must've had 6/7 of them through me.

My 320ce, bought it in January, then it failed MOT on a few bits.... have most of those fixed now, so 2 new rear tyres should see it tested. Really needs painted , lowered and the wheels changed for something staggered.

850 t5, currently parked in my grannies driveway. Burning a bit of oil which appears to be the crankcase ventilation system being blocked. Will be sorted as soon as I can get at it. 850r wheels sitting ready to go on, then it will be hit with the lowering stick and an "r" front bumper fitted once I find one sensibly priced.

Nova gsi, owned it for 9 years. Currently lying in the mates shed after sandblasting, awaiting a session with the welder and I have a C20XE ready to be glued in.

Hard to beat 80s and 90s tat.

Few of the brothers.......

I bought this last year but I had no where to put it, so sold it to my brother and he dailyed it until a month or so back. One of my most favourite cars I've ever owned. It's not fast at all, but to drive, it is lovely.

AUDI 90 , not a quattro, but being a "90" it is a 2.3 5 cylinder. Sounds fantastic.

Needs MOTd, he tried selling it before but no one in NI appreciates an auto, so he took the ad down. Lovely big bus.

He also has a Tdi discovery for towing the shlte we both buy, a purple t5 volvo like mine above and a 2.9 xr4x4 Sierra looking a little neglected in the garage, will get a few pics of those next time I am out.

Got a few 155's..
Bought the first one in '98 and I've had it ever since being off the road since 2004 with a slooooow resto due to me working away all the time. It's a 2.0 8V and as far as I can understand from the owners club it's the oldest surviving (sort of) 155 in the UK. Not that it really matters because I like it cos of what I did with it..

This was it at the Nurburgring when I was working in Berlin in 2001/2002. I used to drive back from Berlin home for every big holiday which was nearly 1200 miles each way..
It had some rust in the rear arches so I got good second hand rear quarters and repaired the inners..

The others are a black V6, the Q4 which are also off the road awaiting work. And I use a 2.0 16V as a daily driver in england..
The Q4 is effectively a delta integrale in a different shell... ;)

I also have a 1974 1.3 Marina Coupe that was my first car with my brother. We re-shelled it in the mid to late 80's and I'm gradually gathering the bits I need to finally build it into the car I wanted it to be when we first had it..

volvo 740
This is going to be a great thread. Always amazes me whats hidden in garages over the countryside.

Dad has a few randoms in the warehouse, austins/rovers/triumphs etc, before my time.

I've got my old 740, bought in mint condition with 38K and 24 volvo stamps, inspired by a family history of volvo, dad still drives a 240 every day. Not used much but enjoyed.

Metro Police car.... This now belongs to someone between Portadown and Armagh. Never comes to any shows any more which is a real shame. I had so much fun at the Waringstown Vintage Cavalcade with it.

Several Bedford Rascals but this was the cleanest one - and has since been exported to Nigeria after all the work I did to it

Don't think I have any - all on old PCs somewhere. I never had it on the road - it was a full restoration job. It was a 1984 Estate with a 300D engine. I have since found out that the person I sold it to scrapped it.
