Thought I'd put up some pictures and info on Astra that's being built at the moment. Always wanting one of these but the most of them are scrap buckets so I thought I'd get my friend to make one for me... :grinning:

Bought a 1.4 merit 3 door in flame red in March that was solid and had only 82k on it. £340 was ok I thought...

Then bought this gsi rep off a another mate for handy money... :grinning:

Next thing to do was to get the 1.4 through the mot so the fun could begin... A lot of parts bought for it that then have been taking straight back out to be replaced with gsi parts but needs must...

Both cars are now at mates garage and progress is coming along well.

Engine out of 1.4

Great memories of my one about 12 years ago!! Gsi def have a great road presence and red top engines sound great too

My first car was a wee 1400 si in red too always fancied a red gsi but had to settle for a blue one

Loving this, been after another mk3 astra for a long time. Any I have seen have been across the water and the boat costed more than the car, so nice find getting that 3 door shell.

Good looking build this, fair play for finding a decent shell. Maybe the best Vauxhall colour too imo.

Ok so mechanical side is nearly finished. I'm going to be driving around now for a while until I can afford a paint job...

Keep it red or change???? What colour?
