Mk3 Golf Cab #nohomo

After some peer pressure from a few dubious friends I picked this up during the week. I've no idea why I have it or what I'm going to do with it but I know it wont stay standard although what happens will be on a tight budget.

131k on it, full stamped service history to 110k with mots, everything works including electric hood, glass back window, no rips or tears.

Bodywork lets the car down really. No rot or welding which is rare for a mk3 but a bit scabby and it's been keyed. That'll be sorted though.

I'm the least likely looking convertible man ever but I love this lol

I have embraced the convertible life fully and have spent 2 weeks driving around in this rather than working on it. It hasn't missed a beat which I'm pleased with.

I'm currently waiting for coilovers, stubaxle spacers and Hubcentric wheel spacers to arrive.

The first purchase was by Lee. She sniped some 16x6.5 renault steels and we fitted her tyres to them.

last night we decided to get the car ready for Mullingar this weekend. 5 of us stripped it down, did some quick repairs, fitted two fresher front wings which hadn't been kicked by someone and rubbed it down. It's far from perfect but it's getting a quick blow over of army green (going back to my roots) to freshen it then it'll get painted to my proper plan over winter.

Made good progress last night. Got the car stripped of all masking film etc and refitted the trims.

Paddy and Browne tried their hand at cleaning and conditioning the roof. A lot of the green mold is off but still some remains. It's a lot better than before.

I helped Stefan fit the coilovers while Matt and Lucy taped up the bumpers for paint.

I painted the bumpers while Stefan and Paddy fitted the rear coilovers.

Here are 2 awful pictures on uneven ground. I'll get better ones tonight on the flat with the wheels on
