Keep this thread going! So you ditched the stock engine for a T-Sport engine? Is it a straight swap?

Ran well last Sunday a kirky but definitely running a bit rich, more to come , more setup and power.
Weejohn on here did all the hard stuff, wiring and exhaust etc. I'm just a grease monkey who can put a diff in a gearbox then a gearbox on an engine etc.

T sport engine, yes. Sounds a bit good on lift with the roof down then pops and bangs on gearchanges.

Engine needs one engine mount fabricated to fit. Everything else is just time and effort.
Running yellowstuff pads , big radiator, apex springs, that's about it.

Looks great, since reading about these online I have really fancied one, you can buy these wee roadsters for FA now!

Monkey wrench racing do the mounts etc for the conversion if you're stuck!

Great handling little cars, my ex had one and it was always a blast to drive - if underpowered. The T-sport engine should solve that!

It's no blistering hot rod but the gear ratios are good and revving to 8250 keeps it in the cooking zone. Lack of torque makes Celica version a bit frustrating but it's no problem in the mr2. You can see why lotus chose the 2zz for the Elise.
