the neighbour has a problem with her clio, the hazard light button will not stay in so it keeps flashing unless its taped down.

renault dont seem to want to know.

anyone have a similar problem or know a quick fix?

perhaps somebody on a clio forum might pose the question :p

Thanks!

Mk2 ph2? Faulty switch iirc.

Happened to my car for a while. But I poked the button until it was near coming out the front grill and its worked fine since :grinning:

Under the bonnet...
One of the white catches in the back of them break and they dont click back in. A couple of quid on the bay or at a scrappies does the job. For now a bit of card wedged in does the trick

I remember this happened to me with my '04 clio

I had to drive down the hillsborough road with one hand holding the wheel and the other holding the feckin' hazard light switch in

seems to be a common fault with the Clio's

like cro-clio said it's usually the white switch on the back of it that has broken

I managed to reset mine without replacing it before selling the car on ;)

I broke mine on the Cherokee, but I was doing some interior 'repair work' with a hammer and managed to smack it clean off the steering column lol :p

Are hazards a legal requirement? If not I'd probably just disconnect the wiring at the back (y)

it's pretty straightforward

get a small flat headed screwdriver or a small knife and push it behind the button and it should pop out when you start prying at it
