Highly unlikely as that would upset the GT3 applecart rightly. Likely a breathed on 718 GT4 lump. If a GT3 is what 520brake and a GT4 is 420, likely they'll split the difference.

I watched an interview with a dude from Manthey Racing and he seemed to think it would be a detuned 3RS motor from the 991 gen. But that was back at the start of the year I think.

Sounded very 3RS in that video, like you say though they'd not want to upset the GT3 crowd.

Kinda the only disappointing thing about this type of Porsche; it’s only going to be as good as Porsche need it to be rather than what it can be.

They always restrict the sub-911 models to save the 911 sales from taking a hit.
