Here I am, Once again. My R-81 EK4 Build

Most of you on here probably know me, Either from around the forums, or from shows/track days...

Been in the honda game a while, Think this is my 6th honda now.

Here's a pic of my last build, and probably the most memorable,





Anyway, Spur of the monent decision on Monday morning has brought me back into the EK chassis yet again.

I said I would never build another EK, Having owned two before I figured it was time to move on to something else. However when you're givin the chance to buy a gem, how do you say no?

Yeah, they are RNR's

But i done a deal without them, so the previous owner let me keep them til i get something else sorted.

Big plans for this wee motor, i'll keep you guys updated.

Good luck with it jonny im sure it will be nice, not keen on the wheels even though they are rare but as you say not with the car so not to worry.

Haha, they ain't staying. Previous owner wants them back. But i might just buy another set for it. They suit it pretty well.

Seeing VtecbabyPeteAdonai's DC2 build that he never finished, kinda inspiried me i guess.

Gonna be a full nut and bolt, tear down and rebuild.

Everything below it, stripped, blasted and re-powdercoated.

All new OEM bushings etc

Full Respray

All brand new side moldings,skirts and window moldings from Honda.


Basically, when its finished, it will look pretty much stock, with a few wee nice bits on it.

How flawless it will hopefully look will be what sets it apart from the crowd, rather than loads of modifications.

.......That's the plans, now all i need is Time/Money

Derek wasnt the last owner of the car, it was sold to another friend of ours. When i heard he was selling up, i couldnt see this car leave our circle. Someone had to buy it, just ended up being me,haha

Also, the previous owner won't part with the wheels, trust me, i been trying,lol.

thought the car had been sold on since i last knew,hard to get those rims in good condition these days.
in Japan they are known as "one race wheels" as they are said to be a bit "soft," so need to be kept outta holes in our roads
