I got a great price for the gti from them & ended up taking the policy out, then read the reviews... not good! They sent me the policy out with the wrong reg then wanted to charge me £30 but when I threatened to cancel within the 14 days they changed it for free, just hope I don't have to claim. Will be back to Greenlight, price dependent, next year.

I took a policy out on a vts with them about 2 years ago, cheapest quote I could find by a few hundred quid, happy days I thought...wrong!

They wanted 6 pictures of my car to prove it was standard,4 of which had to include the reg.

Wanted both my plastic and paper parts of my license,I emailed this to them and they didnt get it for some starange mystical reason.

And also they needed a headed letter from my employer to prove I worked there.

Why they needed all this I will never knoe. I ended up cancelling the policy and paying their cancellation fee because they did that much ****ing about and ringing.

Oh and they tried to tell me it was the last time I was allowed to change vehicle on the policy as well. Wouldnt go near them ever again.

I was with Adrian Flux for 3/4 years and never had an issue, had a largeish admin/cancellation fee when I left mid policy but apart from that can't fault them myself

I had to go with elephant, they weren't the cheapest but on a review basis I thought i'd be better spending a wee bit extra and have a bit less hassle if a claim did come round.

Greenlight wouldn't quote because they don't cover bmw's and adrian flux said that because it was a rwd and I had limited experience with rwd their quote was nearly £3k, even though they were the ones who used to insure me on the escort with everything declared. It would annoy your head

possibly but I rang up to check the quote and they were happy to cover the mods.

I was very disappointed with greenlights attitude, I am a preious customer and was pretty annoyed they flat out refused to even quote without even trying to find out my experience with rwd or performance cars, but I suppose that's the way it rolls, everyone gets tarred with the same brush.

@euge07 I've been with admiral 2 years now and have never had an issue with them. I rang them about Mods especially the coilovers and they were more than helpful.

And yea admiral and elephant are sister companies.

Have my BMW insured with greenlight , Strange they wont cover you :confounded:

Greenlight stopped covering BMW this year, the website and policies changed just after I renewed about 6 months ago as I phoned up to see about a different model of BM shortly after and was told they no longer quote for any models of BMW.
As a company though I would recommend them they are nice blokes to deal with in my experience and are more than happy to cover modifications etc.
My only problem is they dont seem to want me to own any fast RWD cars or subarus at all judging by past quote attempts haha, If you are 25+ you'll be alright with them

@euge07 Judging by the profile pic its the Astra VXR you are looking quotes for? have a chat with Tony from Greenlight, he's on here. I just listed the mods for my bm and they were more than happy, no questions asked!

Another vote for Admiral here.. My first RWD car was a 300bhp 350z and it had an air filter, exhaust, alloys and was lowered. They where a very reasonable price.

They're still quoting me very low for the new ST as well around £100 cheaper than anyone else.
