My friends 04 tdci mondeo wouldn't start one morning just make a clicking noise so I assumed it was the starter and said I'd replace it however I've just fitted a starter bought from traynors and it's still the same, before I go removing it and takin it back saying it's faulty is there anything else I should be checking ?

Got sorted just before I took it out I just kept trying and eventually went and working now maybe the replacement starter was sticking a bit from lying up seems ok now but I'm defo done working on friends or anyone else's car too much hassle!
