nice little mod, i had it on mine and it was pretty handy especially with big shopping loads it was great! took my kit out when selling on the leon if two people end up needing a set!

Small question, we have a 2006 Leon with the boot button but it doesn't seem to work/ do anything.

Does this need to be code in to work? Seems odd to have the button but it not work!

Yes mate you will need to code it in using VCD/VAGCOM.
Its only for the Pre-Facelift Mk2 Leons that they have to be coded in.
