Yamaha made a sweet little V8 too, basically two bike engines bolted together. Used in Volvos and Noble, etc.

Thanks for the positive feedback, always appreciatedπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

I just realised I don't have any coolant and I'm not sure what's the best type, or mix ratio.

I also bought some synthetic based DOT 5.1 hydraulic fluid a couple of years ago, looking at the manual it says use DOT 3.

A bit of research is required methinks πŸ€”

If the dot5 fluid is the silicone, avoid it. ATE dot4 is really good, I use it in the mx5 for clubman competition and it's great.

The dot 5 is silicon based, but dot 5.1 is not. I use dot 5.1 brake fluid in the Lotus and EVO and it's fully compatible with dot 4 and dot 3. And dot 4 in the other cars. The latter is just a bit cheaper and all that's really needed in a fast road car. Dot 5.1 comes into its own on a race track, it's just that bit more heat tolerant.

Dot 5.1 sounds right for your build, though dot 4 could do just fine too. Just depends on intended use.

Thanks that's very helpful Sven, haha I've been trying to add up the total amount of things that can potentially leak in the cooling, hydraulic, and fuel systems omg, basically everything πŸ€”πŸ€£ but yeah it's really nice not to be scraping the underside - been there done that!
