I reckon the 2.0 8v turbo engine out of a 406 etc would be a better transplant than the usual Mi16 - bags more torque

Not unusual, but I love the audacity of XE's in Escorts.

did they not have big problems with steering? ie the angle of steering was so small as the hub was hitting the gearbox or something?
