Volvo Xc90 2.5T petrol.

Anyone any experience of the engine (reliability/ common issues etc) and likely mpg, mostly motorway cruising and a bit around town ?

Thanks,
Anton

remember looking at them for OH, made the V8 Petrol X5 we ended up going for seem cheap, fast and reliable by comparison

I tend to just drive cars into the ground so no issue there lol

These not have the same aw55 autobox as the d5?

My thoughts as well but I thought I'd ask to get some 1st hand info
The volvo owners groups are pretty good on Facebook, I’m in the XC60 one and it’s a proper wee community and source of info. I think because it’s older folks they’re a bit more proactive, so could be a good place to suss it out.

Nope, don't know the model but know they are very problematic.

The 4.4 v8 might not be that much sorer on fuel? Sound magnificent too.

The T6 had the infamous GM gearbox that was as durable as chocolate. The T5 wasn't that much worse mpg wise than the D5 taking into account of the price difference between unleaded diesel but neither are cheap to run.
