Anyone heading for the hills next weekend?

A few big announcements today, the highlight being the entry of Michael Dunlop, fresh from 4 wins in the Isle of Man, swopping 2 wheels for 4 and taking to the stages in a 300bhp modified mk 2 Escort.

There will be the usual, huge modified entry list starting alongside him that keeps Donegal the most competitive modified rally in the country as well as the cream of the crop of Irish Tarmac Championship talent.

Half day Thursday and Friday booked off work already so really looking forward to it, hopefully the weather is slightly drier and less miserable than last year (y).

Staying in Donegal for the duration of the rally is the only way to enjoy it properly. Had to cancel my hotel booking and going for just one day will break my heart, so I'm off to London for the weekend instead.

I'll be going with a group of mates, definitely staying in letterkenny of both Friday and Saturday nights, trying to get Friday organised and might camp on Thursday night somewhere even.

Hope the weather will be like what it was this weekend.

Will be out in this, so if you see me say hello

he will NEVER get a result on this event in his class 14 escort lol

if he drives at nine 10ths and makes it to the finish he will have done VERY well

I'll try and get a few pics up later but it was a typical day at the Donegal rally. Got soaked in a rain shower and have sunburn.....great days rallying though.

In service this evening all the talk was on drives and engine mounts because of the amount of grip. A mate of mine broke 2 engine mounts in a civic on the last loop, just about got back to service.

Dunlop was going ok today, definitely not slow and still on the road which has surprised a few folk.

The commentator asked him on the ramp how he was going to approach it and he said "I'm going to pick the first hole in the hedge I see and put er in it".
