Friends 2009 audi a3 remote locking isn't locking drivers door (all other doors and boot are locked). The door can be locked manually with key. I'm guessing some sensor/ microswitch or wiring has gone bad.. Anyone have anything similar to this on a VAG car?

If my past experience with similar central locking problems are anything to go by, I'd put my money squarely on a faulty door solenoid, which is usually part of the door latch.

Easy enough fixed - source & replace the solenoid/latch from a breakers or 'the bay', no door lock required. (y)

Faulty lock module. Just fit a new one. Unless of course your lock barrel has broken and is holding it in the open position which, although fairly rare, can happen.
