I havent been to in for a few years but is usually good.
As for directions, head for larne, go out the Coast Road towards Ballygalley, when going through there take a left just before Ballygalley Castle Hotel, should be signposted Carincastle. You will see some new houses and a primary school on your left. Head up that road about a mile and a half, you will then come to crossroads with a bar called the Meeting House straight in front of you, turn right and then the road that the hillclimb is on is first on your left.

On that wee road you see a wee chapel on the right hand side ... that is where I got married all those years ago

Yeah it was the blue audi a3 the timekeeper was in her car when the escort hit it! She was really shaken up the audi needs a wing, a headlight, a bonnet and a front bumper. The escort is a writeoff it has no back end and the front end had an impact aswell!

Everybody is ok!

Hate to ask, but how would an insurance company stand on that kind of accident?

Andy

you mean for the competitor or the timekeeper?

its a weird one for the timekeeper.... you could argue the case. no way her own insurance would cover it. If i was doing timekeeping at a rally and had the car on a stop line, my insurance company wouldn't want to know. closed road at a competitive event. However i have separate insurance when i do timekeeping through a marshaling club, they may cover it. other than that best bet is trying to get it off the clubs insurance for the event.

competitor is probably covered 3rd party by his own competition insurance or the clubs event insurance. either way, they'll not pay for damage to his car.

sounds a pretty sick situation really :worried:.

time keepers car is covered in the entry fee.

entry fee also covers competitor and 3rd party to 1million £
