Right so here we go again ๐Ÿ˜‚ with the Bedford needing an engine out repair and the Viva sorted after dubshed we had another project lined up

But after a tip off from @vw1500 about a cavalier needing a bit off work and another project we donโ€™t need we raced up and bought it

itโ€™s a 1978 vauxhall cavalier mk1 1.6 rwd very similar to the asconas and mantas i used to own

thanks to @southsky sunrise for lifting it

IMG_3075.png

at first glance it looked pretty solid and only needing a few small welding patches ask @Graham ๐Ÿ˜‚ he was up earlier this week so off the trailer and i was told it ran and drove

after discovering a broken rotor arm we got it running tho not idling

so it drove in to the shed and we started the poking with screw driver that has become the normal ๐Ÿ˜‚

Brilliant, love the way yous both just get stuck in. Most people would see all that rust and probably scrap it!

Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out

Fair play, that's quite a project, but in most hands it'll have been scrapped. Good to see stuff getting another chance (Even if you'd have to be a bit mental to commit to that!)

Where are you operating out of these days boss? Might get a yarn some evening I'm off, that's not many evenings to be fair ๐Ÿ˜‚
