y is it better to have component speakers over normal speakers?
is there any big difference?

on simple terms, think of the speakers specialising in different things. the wee ones (tweeters) will play all the high stuff allowing the big ones to concentrate on the mid stuff.

Good speakers will play quite low notes, and not so good ones are best having the bass filtered out and complimented with a sub.

Very big difference and well worth it.
