Dunno if anyone on the site is familiar with Edinburgh, but its SWARMING with traffic wardens..They beat about in minibuses and scooters and are feckin EVERYWHERE.

There is no on-street parking, and its 40p for 15mins and £3.20 for a maximum of 2 hours!

Ive already had two tickets from the *******s :x

Anyway, my mate in uni brought his scooby down yesterday and parked on a single yellow line up a wee backstreet and out of the way of anyting, as the uni car park was full. 4 hours later we came back to a blank space and thought what the feck!

Phoned the cops to report it stolen, only to be told it had been lifted by a crane, loaded onto the back of a lorry, and thrown in the CAR POUND - how feckin gheyyy!

Result was a £30 fine and a £100 removal fee - not happy at all :x A fine woud have been fair enuff but why did they have to remove it ?! It wasnt obstructing anything..

Anywayz, rant over. If you come to Edinburgh be warned, dont park anywhere except an NCP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i watched them hoist a mercedes which was either illegally parked or had not tax...just on one of the side streets off princes street...the alarm was going haywire and the car was swinging all over the show...
tis a nasty ploy indeed.

Yep they are making a mint out of parking fees and fines, yet the roads are even worse than back in NI! Pot holes bumps and humps all over the place, they seem to be ploughing all the funds back into hiring more wardens
