My lecturer back at uni used to run these in the late 80s, had some interesting stories about traction in 4th and 5th even with the massive slicks in the dry.

I was working for a well known local racer in 87-88 and he bought two RS500's, one to use sparingly and the other was kept in delivery wax.
Dunno what happened them but I assume they got sold off at an appropriate point..
They were some motor.
