It'll make a fine mess and you'll have craic hoovering it up after, but cat litter is usually the remedy for this I think.
Used a load of it in a garage that had a bit of an oil leak recently along with a couple of onions cut in half - sounds like an old wives tale but worked wonders so who am I to question it lol!

2 litres of diesel poured into footwell will cancel out the petrol smell.

You can get oil/fuel neutralizer of boys who sell chemicals ect we would use a version round oil boiler fuel leaks ect just spray on direct let dwell....tho never used in confined spaces ect usually boiler houses or the likes but works well
