I’d like to go to this next year. What is the deal with walking round the paddock/garage area? Is it a general admission ticket?

Disappointing they’ve cancelled today.
We just have basic tickets and they spot on. No grand stand access but we didn’t need it. Basically just wandered about and stopped to watch stuff going up the hill when it suited. Probably missed a load of things running up the hill but have seen more than enough to make it worth while without getting stressed out about the best viewing points.
Had planned to go out to the rally stage today but obviously that’s not happening. We’re back in the morning to watch a bit more than probably head off mid/late afternoon

If I was to go back again I'd be getting a roaming grandstand ticket, its a lot of walking and standing all day, a seat would be great! I get why they cancelled as its very blustery today and expensive metal and people are at risk, but you couldn't have asked for better weather wise today.

Day trip to Brighton instead for us today then a full day at it tomorrow!

We got the roaming grandstand tickets and I’d definitely recommend them. It’s nice to be able to get a seat when there’s something in particular you want to see go up the hill. They’re a decent height and you get a great view.

We left Brighton early this morning and headed off to Brooklands Museum as dad has always wanted to see it, and went to Mercedes World for a walk around too.

A fantastic day, a couple of scrapes like, the Lark F1 GTR and the 911 GT1 both got damage at Molecomb. Couldn't recommend attending enough! Being a French fan boi I was pretty giddy when I saw the 9X8 Le Man car along with an original A110. Other highlights were the 499SP that won Le Man this year as well as 2 917's, Herbert in the 787B as well as Button in the Garage 56 Camaro, the noise 😍

I was further up closer to the entrance to the flint wall, so didn't see the.Leyron House crash, got a great view of the GT1 loosing it's wing!

Got in early Sunday morning for a spot opposite the house where they do the donuts. Stayed there for a few hours to watch the super/rally/drift cars which is the main stuff we wanted to see. Moved on for breakfast and after that it was pointless trying to get a good view anywhere as the place was packed.
Caught different stuff at different view points. Wanted to see the timed shoot out but with the delays and a long trip up to Liverpool, we decided to run on. Not so bad as I was there for the full event.

A fantastic time had. Will definitely go back at some stage but next time I’ll bring a folding seat and supplies.
I didn’t take too many pictures/videos as I’m sure someone will have much better quality stuff on YouTube than I could film and I just like to enjoy the thing when I’m there.

For anyone thinking about it, do it.

The BMW M1 crash looked rough too. Really enjoyed watching Sebastian in his F1 cars and his walk through the crowd taking the time to sign everything and anything he could. He's such a nice guy.

A few more FOS spam and I will make no apologies for it lol! I will break it up into motorsport and road/classic cars.

Sounded as you'd expect it to.

Porsche Pt1, the RSR 991 was one of the best sounding cars period! And yes, that Gulf 917 was the actual car that won Porsche their first Le Man, driven by Richard Attwood, one of the orginal drivers!

I took little to no pictures or videos as someone else could do better and I couldn’t be bothered with the crowd. It was a bucket list experience. I wanted to see a McLaren f1 in the flesh. I saw 4 in different states of tune. From road to to Le Mans spec. Sorry I’m not up to proper spec. I saw 4 cars and for a country kid, that’s a big deal. Funny no f40’s which I’ve seen before but the random thing is, the first carrera gt I saw this weekend, was driving to the gig. A spectator same as me.

The car park for the public had more mclarens than astras. Literally. It was just a weird experience

Anything
Andrew Morrow (ferrari 488) is a local lad. My wife and I are friendly with his sister and brother in law.

Seen the name and thought he was local. Is he anything to Morrow Oils outside Hillsborough?

I was offered to transfer my ticket to 2024, but I'd be nervous in case it's too sunny or too rainy, or there is too much of a breeze etc, & they need to cancel, so I'm not taking the chance.

(I'm not at all bitter...)

Lol

Has anyone utilised public transport to get to and from the circuit? Or is there no option?!

We do every year. Flight to Gatwick, train to Chichester (goes every 30 minutes) and then there is a shuttle bus from the train station to Goodwood.

If you were planning on staying and only using public transport, being able to get to Chichester would be key.
