He's more busy flying around the world flying helicopters at the minute, so the car has been moving much slower the past few years.

Hopefully he'll get some racing in it soon though. It is a superb build

Bare in mind, Keonigsseggsss use a Ford Modular engine in their cars

So technically it is a Ford engine, albeit highly modified in Joel's case. So the base powerplant is very affordable, and very strong from the factory.

What do Ford use the base engine in that can handle that power? A mustang or something?

It's based on the 4.6 32v engine, which is effectively the older iron engine but with multivalve heads, available in various sizes up to 5.4 from the factory.

Mustangs, the GT90, and no doubt some Ford trucks

eg, the supercharged version from the Mustang Cobra ( full engine/box ), reputedly these are 1000hp capable from the factory, so a very strong motor.
