Quickest car there was a Starlet, 12.04 @ 136 mph. No excuses for his run but he knows it will go faster.

Would have been quicker if he hadnt of bounced off the limiter in 1st as well
I'm no expert but he was getting a lot of wheelspin so going straight for second would have made it bog down. He couldn't get enough heat into the slicks he was using, apparently.

I dont think it would have bogged from watching the video. What I do know is that bouncing off the limiter does nothing other than slow you down on the quarter.

In every other gear I'd agree, but I've even found myself that launching with the right amount of wheelspin for a short time is far better than bogging in 1st or shortshifting and bogging in 2nd. Just my own experience on the road, but on a strip in a built B18 with slicks it could be different.

You can be bouncing off the limiter in first, spinning the wheels and only doing 15mph, if you grab second then and your wheels get traction (which they probably will) you are going to be sitting about 2k revs in second and thats not where you want to be.
