Is anyone here going to the marshalls day at kirkistown next Saturday?

I was there last year an it was a great day.

I was talking to the organiser on the phone an he asked me could I get any more cars to go.. So if anyone has a track/ rally car an is looking free entry, free breakfast an a free dinner let me know an ill see can I get you in. All you have to do is scare the life out of marshalls all day :grinning:

EDIT BY GRAHAM : ONLY OPEN TO FULL BLOWN MOTORSPORT CARS...

times must be hard i mind a time when drivers where turned down as too many wanted to go and kevin lynch destroyed a seasons worth of part worns driving like a hooligan

I would love to take the focus around kirkistown but I am working in the morning. What time does it end and are you able to just arrive down and do a handful of laps?

Also have considered renting kirkistown for an hour or 2 in the new year, does anyone know any terms and conditions regarding numbers etc? @Graham

the marshalls day is for log booked cars only or ones that could get an MSA log book with no issues so road cars are out.

basically its a day that says thanks to the motorsport marshals who get a few laps in 3 cars, a FWD, RWD & 4WD - been in some pretty special cars whilst covering the event for media in the past including an ex Alister McRae mk2 with pretty much no back tyres, 3 figures into debtors and it could have done with some more lock, good job i knew and trusted the owner lol

regarding the hire of the circuit, for a single vehicle it is £50/hr for testing and you would need a helmet just. they will have 2 or 3 folk down usually in differing things and you take it in turns (you wouldn't want to be on circuit with a gearbox kart for example) so its a gentleman agreement to take your turn which is best anyway as you let the car cool down after a 10-15min session

That's me with the car on the trailer an 2 set of tyres to burn off too.. Cant wait :grinning: should be a brilliant day

Okay man, i dont have a clue how to get started or when and where to start so all advice is appreciated and needed! Lol And no i have no experience man
