Afternoon everyone,

Thinking of getting a second car and really liking the look of the Nissan Elgrand.

Anyone on here own one or had one in the past?

Main concern would be somewhere to get it serviced, if anyone knows any good independents who would specialise in something like this.

Your man at Coach Hill Motors seems to be bringing a mountain of these in. Why would it need a specialist? Surely it's just a big Nissan?

I quite like these too, my biggest fear would be fuelling the *******. Parts aren’t wild dear and probably shared with something else in the Nissan range so part number hunting would be handy.
They don’t seem really “specialist” enough to need a specialist if you get my following.
As Rocko says, Coach Hill have a bundle of these and similar in at the moment.
Does @Terry have one of these or a Toyota one?

Yeah I picked up a Toyota Vellfire from Coach Hill at the start of the summer. He had a few different makes/models in that niche and I preferred the overall size (inner height) of the Toyota.

I wouldn’t worry too much about a specialist. Just make sure you get around to under-sealing it.

I've wanted one of these for ages, I'd love one with a camper conversion already done. A good few in England but you don't see too many over here

Thanks to everyone who replied 😁
Went and test drove a Nissan Elgrand and a Toyota Vellfire at Coach Hill Motors on Saturday. My Mrs was set on an Elgrand until she drove the Toyota 😂

We decided to have a look around, see what else was around and price wise before taking the plunge. About 20 minutes into the drive home she tells me "I've just bought us our new car" to find she'd been messaging a dealer in England on Facebook to buy this:

So come Monday we shall own a 2008 Toyota Vellfire 😁

Turns out I was wrong and my sister is having an awful time finding someone to service hers. Any ideas that aren't a 200 mile round trip from Bangor?

Surely any mechanic would service it for her? Les at Turkington?

They've all said "Needs a special machine and I don't have one."

There's a small chance shes totally misunderstood to be fair.

Must be to reset the service indicator or something. Unless she's having some major work done.

Just a regular interval service.

Youtube says it can be done via the dash. Must be crossed wires somewhere or the mechanics are feeding her BS because they don't want the work / know the vehicle.

I'm pretty much resigned to doing everything to mine myself. Fortunately I have the resources for that though.

If she's snookered and can get no-one, PM me.

@Rocko Coach Hill Motors imports this type of thing in and prep them for sale in house. Could be a shout to check with them first if you haven’t already

That's where she bought it, I told her to try him but I'd bet good money that she did not.
