solar power trickle chargers

Any good, these jobbies that sit up on the dash or the likes and either charge by connected straight to battery or through the cigerette lighter ? Using the sun.

I haven't found them to be any use tbh. I just disconnect the battery.

I have one and works the best. It doesn't charge the battery so to speak but more prevents it from going flat.
Car has sat 9 months now with it connected to the battery and it will start no problem on the button, before getting the solar charger the battery was flat after 2 months.

Funny I seen ones in caravans no bigger than a packet of chocolate fingers yummy and they can keep the battery from going flat but don't seem to generate enough to charge it up. The big ones on the roof are a different story.
