My SIL has landed round here and mentioned an issue with her discovery sport. The rear passenger side footwell is soaking and the rear fan outlet on the b pillar is gargling when the air blows so the vent must be full of water. It has a fixed panoramic glass roof. Likely a leak from above ?

What are the issues?
@Robin_Hood - ring LR assist today and they will be out with you in the next couple of days and sort all the issues. No knowledge of the parking sensor issue but I haven’t worked for JLR since Nov
I've heard CH LR have had to farm work out as they've no capacity/ramps because they're that backlogged

Burst fuel hose
Park brake fault
Cruise control not available
Parking sensors not working
Drivers side washer not spraying
Judder when braking
Noisy auxiliary belt
Sorry it was only 7 issues, my bad!
Earliest date I could get was mid June, but then when she broke down that problem became solved
Did you buy it approved used? Sounds like awful vehicle prep
Fair play getting stuck in. Hope you are able to find good quality parts to repair with.Well the disco joined the club last week, leaving me stranded on the m1 2 years of doing nothing I suppose it's due some tlc

I thought I'd a tick in the engine before while pulling the injectors to make it handy later if I had to change em I found the issue. Recut the seat and I'll get them tested.

So what's next I'm not sure going to price a crank shells oil pump etc tomorrow. There's alot of options out there I'll have to get some advice on which is best. The top end and block seem fairly unscathed but I'll need to dig in further to be sure.
It's made my week interesting anyway but it's looking expensive Lol.
I saw your defender in getting the work underneath when I was leaving mine up to Ryan for the same job.Paint correction and ceramic coat completed. now as good on top as it is underneath

thanks mate, i love itI saw your defender in getting the work underneath when I was leaving mine up to Ryan for the same job.
Looks the job, real tidy Defender.
That’s exactly what what he is facing - that engine was called “lion” and he is performing heart surgery on it!I don't think heart of a lion quite sums up what you're facing there - wow, just wow!
I don’t think so…On the new V6 engines has LR actually fixed whatever issue there is with the V6 engine?

Well its not a landrover engine its a PSA ford cooperation effort. They havent fundemtally changed it, they released a gen 2 version... which is what mine is.... the new landrovers upto recently still use it and the new ford rangers and amaroks are using it as well as the ford F150 in the states jag etc..
When you actually have the bits in your hand I just cant fathom how adding 20mm to the engine to increase the crank thickness and spread the bores couldnt have made sense in the applications they where using it for. I think it was originally designed by PSA to be a FWD laterally mounted engine hence its compact design.
For refrence my crank.
