Greetings All!

Wow! 2006 season is almost gone! Faster than a Scooby on steroids!

Trackskills have the honour of hosting the last car track day of 2006 at Kirkistown on SUNDAY 29th OCTOBER.

It is filling up fairly well already. Keep an eye on our "Cars Coming" page to see what has booked in so far. It keeps changing right up to the day before.

As usual, if you are intending to come and are not one of those who have already let me know, please drop me an email confirming your place.

Keith's gourmet grub will be available as will his instruction talents. Is there no end to this man's versatility? I wonder can he instruct on how to make sandwiches?

I look forward to seeing you on 29th.

Greetings!

This Sunday is the last track day of this year and the response has been phenomenal! Thank you all very much.

To make it run smoothly we need your cooperation in a few details.

Please would anyone who has not driven at a Trackskills day before arrive at 9.00am, rather than 9.30am. That way we can get you out with Keith as soon as possible.

Secondly, for all concerned, please when you arrive, before doing anything else, such as getting cars off trailers or changing wheels, etc., come into the office and get the paperwork out of the way.

Our idea is to get the first session off at 10.30am. This will consist of experienced Trackskills clients, as will the next session. The third session will be for newcomers. After that we will adjust things to suit.

As usual, Keith's Gourmet Grub will be available throughout the day.

I'd never thought that the day would come when I would say this but BOOKINGS HAVE NOW CLOSED for this date! Please put the word around to anyone you know who was intending to just "turn up".

See you on Sunday!

this is the email from organisers !

Hi Guys,

On behalf of Keith and myself I would like to thank everyone who took part in our event yesterday. You helped make what potentially could have been a totally crazy day, a very enjoyable event for almost all concerned.

I say "almost" because we did have ask one participant to put his car back on the trailer. To be fair, his heart is in the right place. It was just that after a lap or two his head went "racing". As he said himself, he kept getting carried away. Unfortunately he spooked a couple of our novices and annoyed even more of our regulars with "racing" moves, which have no place on a track day.

However, as I have said, his heart is in the right place and he is talented and has a good, race ready car. Which brings me to my next point!

Next year the 500MRCI are running a Libre Saloon class. The Trackskills Vectra has already made an appearance in the race at the last race meeting this year. Many of the people whom we have seen at track days are more than good enough to go racing. I mean MSA approved racing with all the safety aspects that that entails. If anyone reading this is interested, get in touch with Keith or myself and we will point you in the right direction.

Once again, thanks to everyone for a great 2006 season (which may not be over yet! Watch this space!).

Cheers!

Donal.

Thanks Donal, and all others who helped organising, for a great day! Ran out of petrol for the first time at a trackday at Kirkistown, that says something about the quality of the event :grinning: Plus some really nice cars out there.

All we need now is more track days, soon

i had a really good day i also ran out of petrol and my front left tyre was on its way out.
i found out what a difference track tyres make to a car no more understeer. just need to find some tyres with the right profile so they don't rub and slow my acceleration down.

Thanks to everyone
