I like that, got that old school cafe racer look to it.

I'm wanting my next bike to be cafe racer style.

Haven’t updated this in a while! Meant to once I got my exhaust but forgot!

So once I got the bike the first thing I wanted to upgrade with the exhaust. Loud pipes save lives and all that. Decided to go for TEC slip ons and a decat pipe, TEC seem highly regarded in the UK Bonneville scene so was happy to try them out.

The bike sounds as it should now, and with the heavy cat and end cans gone now, I’ve shed about 5kgs off the bike! Slightly more torque now too. Most dyno runs show around a 2bhp gain with the decat so every little helps.

Went for a wee spin up round spelga a few weeks back with a mate on his Bobber. Nice bike but pegs are too low and tank is quite small.

I’m just riding away it at and loving it to be honest. The only thing I might do is stick my name down to preorder TECs upgraded Cam they will be releasing for these engines. Takes power from 55 to 70bhp, which would make things a bit more interesting!

So keeping it standard lasted all of 2 days. Tackled a couple of wee jobs this evening.

Removed the intake snorkel, bit nicer note on WOT now. Forum people reckon it increases mid range torque, I dunno lol.

Removed the fly screen (didn’t really do anything), now plan to drop the speedo down about an inch just to tuck it a bit.

And then removed the front fork reflectors

And back in the garage until next week sometime. Looking forward to getting the exhaust now!

Hi Ben - do you still have the Street Cup? Love what you've done to it. Looks awesome. I'm looking to take the flyscreen off mine - how much of the fitting do you need to remove to get access to it properly? Looks like I have to remove the headlight also and then refit it? And how difficult was it to lower the speedo?

Thanks a lot
Cheers

Hey, sold it a couple of years ago sadly.

I only had to remove side brackets to remove the fly screen, headlight didnt need removed. And I never did drop the speedo in the end!
