When you service it do you keep all the receipts for proof? Tbh I’d love to just start serving my cayman myself as Its a keeper but I know if I ever did take the notion to sell it the full OPC history beards would have a ****ing fit.
For the Focus, I filled the service book with stamps, and then at that point I reverted back to doing it myself and just keeping receipts and log. I’ve always done the same for any car, keep any receipt for parts fitted, including date of fitting and mileage, and then keep them in a folder. Some would say OTT or maybe OCD, but it makes my job easier to keep record.

I’d say that’s fairly normal tbh. Stamp the books myself, keep receipts and write the mileage and date on the oil filter.

Done a better job than a supposed Porsche ‘specialist’ in resolving a fault on a Cayenne a few years ago too.

Would have more faith buying a car with someone showing receipts for oil change every 5k they did themselves than long life service stamps at 20k!

The beards don’t actually buy anyone’s car, cause the perfect car at the perfect price doesn’t exist, so wouldn’t worry.

Thanks for the replies, think I’ll just get one more from Porsche then it’s a huge 12 year one, got quoted £1600 for it and no doubt it will be 2k in 2 years time the way things are going up.

Funnily enough I’ve serviced my gtc vxr myself from the day I got it and it didn’t cost me a second thought (that and I’m not overly confident of the two Vauxhall garages I used for the wife’s car as they both damaged the sills when lifting it after I told both to lift it on the chassis lifting points)

What you using on those tyres? Looking good

Actually nothing there!.

Tyres got anachem cleansed, snowfoamed then dried just.
Hadn't put any tyre slick on as I didnt want it flicking everywhere tomorrow.

The drying cloth does have remnants of old tyre slick on it. Likely autoglym!

Started installing the braided brake hoses and one of the brake pipes twisted and snapped off. So that's on hold until the brake pipe kit gets here to fix it.

Tackled some smaller jobs in the engine bay instead; cleaned the engine bay, replaced the rusty strut brace bolts with proper black stainless bolts, heat taped the intake hose because the red silicone was gash looking and finished off by polishing the headlights.

I've a few more things in the post that I'll get done at the weekend; touch up paint for the calipers, clean and oil kit for the air filter and EBC Blue stuff front and back.

It's so so sh1t, but I love it. History is just mental on it. And only 33k miles with every receipt to back this up! Having an adventure road trip home, hopefully back tomorrow night

A 1.3 with a 1.0 gearbag in it is ment to be hilarious fun
There's a couple of K11's autotesting that are well stripped out, class wee things. There's another tomorrow night near ballynahinch.
