With all the space I thought there would have been more cars in the show and shine section though.

I was hoping to take my XR2 to the show and shine!! I contacted the organisers by email 3 weeks ago and they did not reply!! Noticed this post too late!! No wonder not too many in the show and shine!!!

Having a blast down here still 5 hours in! The rally machinery is epic and much better viewing this time around.

Got a passenger lap around the rally stage in a heavily tuned Midget. Unbelievable car.

Drifting been going on all day too, the amount of rubber being burnt would put east Belfast to shame :p

Lovely show cars too, got to see a 4C in the flesh for the first time.

Aviation displays are open again too, worth going just to see their hangars alone to be honest.

This is how you run a Motorsport show...

The Irish Escort Club Mourne Run was what you saw at Newcastle!!! It is an annual event and has been organised more or less from last year whereas this event has only been promoted since around the start of Summer!!!

Had a great day today. Took the mx5 down with my dad for the autosolo as he broke his triumph yesterday. It wasnt close to be prepped considering it was decked and the hydro handbrake wasnt working. I let him work away at the testing and did the driving when we got on the stage, was great craic!

Overall a fantastic day and well run event.

We met them on the way up to the bermish viewpoint in newry on a single track road, us on the way up, them on the way down. What a beautiful selection of cars, seen the stratos and nearly had a wet moment, the rest of the cars were also immaculate, I was privilaged as it was debated earlier in the day to either go to the maze or tour the coast.
What a great wee country we live in!

Had a fantastic day.

Food was a rip off everywhere but the burrito stand. We went back to it twice it was so good.

Genuinely thought we were gonna be there for a couple of hours just, but ended up there until half an hour ago.

Great to see a 10+ long queue for rides in the Autotest cars all day.

Seeing the pics above I didn't get to see a quarter of what was there.

Great day out, just missing baby changing facilities.

Mercedes diesel drift car:
Standard Mercedes diesel engine 200k original timing chain with scania turbo jaguar supercharger 4" exhaust 500hp and as much torque on red diesel, supra axle, Bmw 330d gearbox.
It's like something out of mad max.

It was the only drifty thing that interested me. Loved the outright insanity of it. The reek matched the tyre smoke lol.

Did you see the smoke when he blew it? Pure white smoke coming from the engine bay looked like a steam train lol
