Ogier typically sits back on day one, equals the pace on day two & makes a mockery of everyone's efforts on day three (smug little git).

The fight has started, Loeb lost 17.6s to Ogier in SS2.

Latvala might've been quicker than Seb if this didn't happen "Not a good stage. We have a problem with the boot - it was opening and that was distracting."

Bouffier off on SS2, retired. We might see him back as Rally2 is possible for Thurs + Friday stages on Monte this year.

@Graham - should've went with SS2 for BobbyBingo. "We spun, and when we were in reverse we lost the lights and the alternator I think. First I lost all lights then the car was switching on and off. We managed to reset it and get going - which is the main thing - but we lost a lot of time."

Kubica has retired on the road section with said electrical problems, Police stopped him for having no lights.

Is everyone sleeping in here today? :grinning:

Great 'Seb V Seb' battle so far today! 6.6 seconds separating them after SS6. Latvala third and then another tight dog fight between Meeke, Tanak, Evans and Mikkelson. Very tight so far.

Also great to see Kubica setting some fastest stage times!

The Sebs are going full head-to-head it seems, both in a completely different league!! Jari & Kris are no-where in comparison.

Yep. Its 2 separate rallies for far.... with Jari holding the middle ground it would seem. It makes Kubicas Times all the more impressive. He has been fastest on 2 out of six stages.... and is looking pretty handy in the 7th. You've got to respect the mans speed, if not his longevity in an event!

I had to double take when I saw Kubica getting fastest splits and stage times this morning! Good to see Jari get more confidence and (Hopefully, but it's early) secure 3rd. Gutted for Bouffier though, no return for him :worried:

Seems like a war of tyres between the Sebs

Kubica having issues in SS8, and Meeke stopped in stage :worried:

Bit late @Graham

Seb v Seb all over, Loeb down 1:30.8 to Ogier at split 3 on SS8. Left rear wheel at a 45 degree angle according to spectators

edit: over 4 mins down at split 4

Well. The old Citroens fairly took a disliking to SS8! Loeb must have been pushing rightly to put in the times he was.

Funny how one stage can change the entire rally.

2 Citroens go missing & it ends up a VW 1-2-3.

Got to love Monte-Carlo.

The 'no split-times' rule change has worked a treat so far!

Hopefully Jari-matti can keep the pressure on tomorrow.

Poor day for M-Sport today, shame as it started so well yesterday.

After Day 3

It's still a big lead, but Ogier won't be too pleased that JML gained over a minute today. A tidy drive tomorrow and that's (at least) 18 points towards his championship.

Kubica off at the end of SS14. Meeke stopped to ask what happened; he lost the brake pedal just as he crossed the time control

Henning said it was a "proper" crash, but crew ok
