So after 3 years with my Audi A6 I decided to change to something completely different.

For those who don't know me this was my Audi...

Nothing wrong with it but I wanted better economy, cheaper tax and more importantly something more fun and interesting to sit in!

So after a lot of looking around I decided on the 2015 Mini Cooper SD.

At 170bhp, 265 lbs/ft and a million kg lighter than the Audi it should be fun to drive but easier on the pocket with over 70mpg for my 220+ miles weekly commute.

It will be my first ever brand new car and I got a bit excited on the extras haha.

Car spec will be:
- Metallic midnight black paint
- half leather black carbon seats

Chili pack which includes:
- multifunction steering wheel
- 17" Cosmos alloys in gloss black
- velour floor mats
- passenger seat height adjustment
- extended storage pack
- excitement pack
- MINI driving modes
- rain sensor and auto headlights
- climate control
- interior lights pack
- LED front foglights.

- John Cooper Works leather steering wheel
- John Cooper Works rear spoiler
- Roof rails
- Armrest
- Heated seats
- Anthracite roof lining
- Glowing red colour line
- Cruise control
- LED headlights
- MINI Heads-up display
- Visual boost radio
- MINI connected
- Sat Nav

Plus standard options of

- Tyre pressure monitoring
- Body coloured mirrors
- Piano black interior trim
- DAB digital radio
- White indicator lenses

I went into the dealer the other day to sign the paperwork and got a sneak peak of the car as it had just been delivered albeit it was filthy.

Here are some iPhone photos I grabbed...

So get it next Tuesday then straight off to see my friend who runs a tinting/wrapping business and getting rear windows tinted and the chrome round the grill and front/rear lights wrapped in gloss black.

Also ordered a shorter roof aerial from Mini. Plus my shorter 5 digit plates to go on.

Cannot wait to get it!

Hope you guys like it and not too many "its a girls car" lol

Sammy

Health to enjoy, the only thing I would change would be the rims, and it would only be to spec a larger diameter, just dont appear to fill the arches right

yeah I know what you mean and these are the larger 17" upgrades. Tbh I may get it lowered and spaced but looking forward to cheaper tyres than the 19" audi rims lol

Holy smokes that's one of the nicest Mini interiors I've ever seen!
Some options  De-chromed looks pretty mean also

That looks great with the chrome blacked out. They really are becoming huge cars though, not very fitting of the 'Mini' name.

thanks! sure it a bit more interesting than the A6 interior. You could have the power line in nearly any colour you wanted. I'm so glad I went for red.

yeah it is certainly smaller by my current car but not too impractical.

Buy a vinyl belt line kit for the chrome below the windows.

didn't know you could do that, seen a lot of people using the plastidip for it. Any links?

yes mate, a good friend buys his Mini's from there so they came recommended. Dundee were closer but the salesman at Perth was excellent and worth the extra few miles :grinning:
Ah the good old local mile, grew up not far from Perth. I suppose any reason to get out of Dundee is a bonus. :p

Hi sammy stunning HTD. We had a cooper D two years ago wish I'd have kept it but hey. Very nice setup to, am sure DTUK would breathe some magic into it I had the red box on mine ;-) hehe.

Looks great Sam! Will look fantastic with the chrome bits blacked too. Agree that a spot of lowering would have it looking perfect, other than that, enjoy! Look forward to seeing some rig shots up soon!!!
