i acctually seen that myself older gentle man driving

welded in and some spray on it to stop rusting last weeks work was starting to rust already

so as you guys have guessed we are planning on putting air bags in the cavalier

and we need to make some bag cups / mounts

now any thing i have seen on ebay looks fairly straight forward

so with the bag in position and the suspension fully down with the help off a jack we where able to take a few approximate measurements

now an old engineer said to me if you give a plumber a problem he will come up with a plumbing solution

so we needed a cup type template

enter pvc sewer pipe i had in the van

so with a few practice runs here is what we came up with

time to cut it out off steel plate

so hopefully next trip up to the shed

weld up the cups

Here’s a wee one for you @carmad. mate is selling a Vauxhall monaro she’s cat D been reshelled. 9,000 miles I think £7,000 could be talked to and needs recommissioned do you know anyone for it? We need to clean it up first though. Sorry for off topic. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Was doing a tour of Glenarm Caste yesterday and was well chuffed when I arrived and seen these guys lined up. Some great vehicles on show from the Vauxhall/Opel and Alfa Romeo crowd!

Unreal Carmad keep him at it. Long live Vauxhall. This would look so cool on the bags and left rough on the exterior. Look up Swedish Raggare, they know the score. Totally solid really well kept cars underneath but made to look like scrap on top

up for a few hours today and decided to keep at the inner wing / battery box

the bead roller is deffo earning its keep

knocked up a template of what i thought it should look like considering half off it was missing

then made it outta metal

bit more sanding to do but a lick off primer to stop any rust over the next few days

then got stuck in to the inner wing but forgot to take a before pic

junior is still working on the air suspension mounts

more soon hopefully
