I thought you’d have been taller…? 🤷‍♂️
My thighs are burning, feel like I've done 100+ squats, which in reality I did to get those angles.

Just shows to myself how unfit I've gotten 😯, will be getting off the smokes and back into the gym!!

Glad I did it though, was tons of seriously lovely metal on show.

I let the wee lad take a few pics with my phone. Anything I would have liked to photograph myself, normally had 200= people standing round it! lol

It was my first time at Dubshed, I really enjoyed it.

& I hadn't realised until yesterday, that BTTF2 Dr Emmett Brown sunglasses were now a thing - Great Scott!! :joy::joy:

Beautiful images and composition, make mine look seriously amateurish. Saying that, I just kept my setting at F8, I take it you adjusted yours continuously? Some very narrow depth of field in some of them. I tend to do more landscape and wildlife rather than cars.
Thank you, appreciate it. Settings will forever change indeed. Anything from f1.2 upwards. Car shows are not easiest thing to make pretty. Appreciate the kind words!

Well I somehow managed to persuade the family to head to Lisburn for the afternoon and what a show!

Just keeps getting better and hardly took a single pic - was just too busy

For sale? @veedubboy This was very much the car I wished I was driving home - perfect

This is owned by @viw28 (Gethin) such a lovely example of a Mk6 .:R

Most folks will have been by now, so posting up a few of the pics I took yesterday. Favourite car for me was the black Volvo Amazon.

Thanks for the pic of the Midget.
Dan was very pleased to get an indoor spot again this year.
I ran up behind him on Friday as it was the first big run he'd done with the trailer since passing his trailer test a few weeks ago.
Some lovely cars even at that early stage of setup.

I love watching the various NI/Irish car cultures mingling together in one big happy group. From the Hipster mullet 80s clothing guys, the vag boys in their hoodies, the tight jean suedey boot gillet wearers, lads who look like they have literally walked in from a building site in workgear and everything in between. The eclectic not German focussed second hall is a great idea and really adds a different element. Not sure what the purist VAG head makes of it but I loved it. Its definitely opened my eyes and made me appreciate some jap stuff a lot more. Looking forward to 2025 already

We have just published - Northern Ireland’s largest and one of its longest running motoring events, this year’s Dubshed showcased over seven hundred cars, both inside and outside.  With doors being open from 12-6 on Saturday and Sunday, it was pretty much impossible to see around everything.

With an incredibly high standard of display cars, which, as usual were carefully hand-picked by the GTI NI team, clearly still has VW Group cars at its core, but with a much broader range of cars from 911s and RS Audis, to JDM legends and bonkers drift cars thanks to DriftGames and their expansive display Read the Full Article Here

Don’t think I can add much more other than echo how great of a show it was, despite the weather warnings in place (which may have impacted the reduction in quality of cars that showed up on the day for showing outside).

Good see some old faces and some new, including some from here who I didn’t actually get the name of but thanks for the compliments! 😂

My personal pick of the show was this yellow Mk1 Golf although I don’t envy the job that @veedubboy @viw28 @natogreen16v & co had in trying to judge

Other notable favourites were (in no particular order). Also a pity that the reserves weren’t allowed on the pavilion out the front as that’s one of the best photo opportunities gone, but I suspect that’s down to either the Eikon or insurance reasons and out of the GTINI guys controls.

Be rude not to include one of my own 6R (still feels odd still saying that)

Roll on next year and hopefully make it to some of the other GTINI events during the year as well.

Thanks for the responses guys and girls. We're half recovered from a long weekend and great to see a lot of positive feedback. Just to confirm what a few including @AidanMcG have suggested, judging was a nightmare this year in particular. Although that's good in that the standard of cars was so high it made it difficult.

Not being able to use the squares out front was an Eikon decision after issues with other shows but i agree it's a pity as it made for some great shots and it's usually where we put our own cars too

That explains it! I did wonder when I was there, it definitely made for good photos etc previously. Hopefully they'll let you back there next year.

Has the winners list been posted yet or have I missed it?

My youngest is car obsessed and had a great time 😊

Even my wife stayed for a good 2.5hrs, so the organisers must have done something right 🤣

Probably helped that bringing me in on the Sunday didn't involve an hour sitting in traffic with three gurny kids 🤷🏻‍♂️ New traffic layout was brilliant compared to last year, althoughi had hoped they'd have the show cars going out gate 1 and main car park out gate 2, but I'm sure there was a reason for it.

Only a year to go to raise the standard of my car to make it into the top 40 at dubshed 25 🤪

Disappointed I couldn't go this year but 3 sick kids was a swift kick in the bollocks of that idea :joy:

Are all of these cars from NI/ROI? Incredible standard of cars, impossible to even pick a top 5 out of those photos.

I had a quick nosey round this year, my 2 young kids unfortunately aren’t that into cars so I didn’t stay long. Car of the show for me and the kids was the AZ-1. Also really liked the Celsior beside the ILB bit and the green classic Mini Clubman.

Does anyone know what car won best of show?
