For the grill did you cut a hole out in the middle first, or stick it on first then start cutting?

No bother with the edges lifting out in the elements?

I cut a piece out making sure to leave about an inch too much around the outside. Then stuck the vinyl on and heated it bit by bit slowly. Then when it started to warp the carbon effect I cut the centre out.should have a good bit of overlap by the end. Just fold it around the back. Once you get it started its surprisingly easy.

Heat is vital! If your using the same stuff I got off Deemc( not sure if it's 3m) it can rip if you try to peel it after it's stuck for a while. But easily worked with. and looks top notch! Here's mine
