Lifted this on Thursday evening. Very happy with it, big step up from the golf anyway.

2005 Cupra R 225 BAM engine code
Flash Red
83k miles
Full service history
Imported from UK in 2011

Mods:

H&R 20mm springs
Autobahn silicone boost pipe

Plans:

Get stonechips etc painted to leave paint in good condition
Full paint enhancement
Fresh Coat of Paint on the Brembos
Forge DV
n249 bypass
downpipe & catback exhaust
Stage 1 map
Underseal

Possibly retrofit cruise control and centre armrest
Will need 4 new tyres & pads at some stage so that comes first

Few pics, still needs a real good clean and wax but very clean for its age:

really like that, i still think these look great!

Cheers, aye they are still a fresh looking car in my eyes. The standard mk1s can look a bit boring but the cupra kit makes them awesome I think

superb! any interior shots?

I'll get some later mate. Unfortunately it doesn't have the optional full bucket Recaros but I plan on looking out for a set on ebay or seatcupra.net

They're such a better built car than even the mk4 gti, just had everything the golf didn't

Not a huge update, just enjoying it at the moment really. Changed out the old pollen filter, the air in the cabin was less than fresh lol, no wonder why!

Also got myself a DA machine polisher off Davy at Procar, I reckoned with the amount I've read about machine polishing and the collection of polishes etc i have at home I might as well give it a go myself.

Was just a single pass, very slowly to get used to the machine, to start me off followed by a coat of sealant and a coat of wax.

Got a lot of marks out of the paint and dulled many more down, just need to find the right compound/pad combination for the deeper marring for proper correction. Overall was pretty happy with the results

Some saving ahead then get started on the performance mods for stage 1. I also have new genuine badges for all round in the house as the current ones are awful looking.

Love that, I always wanted 1 when they came out but they would never have suited my mileage.

All the best with it, looks very smart there after the polishing.
