A slippy slidy day, ended up in a ditch for 30s in one test but at least two others had bigger excursions but everyone out and waving at us ok (mostly to slow the fook down..)
Another good day's craic.
Hard luck to @DavyC who was one of the offs today, wee MX5 looked a bit sorry for itself resting against the tree on test 10 but both Davy and Barbara were ok
Looking at the results, we picked up a timing error which we suspected but didn't query (doh), and got a test max for going round a pylon twice (also, doh). Add those to the 30s that we lost getting stuck in a bank temporarily, and we moved from a potential 20th O/A and 3rd in class to 45th and second last lol..
So at least that's encouraging to know that some pace is there (even in a 1400 rover lol) and if we can tighten up on the mistakes, some results will come. Makes the times up at the top even more impressive though. Good day's sport.
Was sorry to see @DavyC off but that section was treacherous with all the pine needles and moss, if you went slightly off line, it was like hitting ice. I'm sure he'll get it sorted quickly enough.
We got 26th overall due to a fail on a test. Bit disappointing but a great day out. Tests were very slippy in places so was happy to get home unscathed
