Got 1 rear coilover fitted an test fitted a wheel without the spacer for the 1st time
Looks alright

Just happened to check the other side. Caliper an disc removed. The passenger side long nuts are in place normally. So unsure what happened the driver side unless they ran a wheel without the spacer an the nut didn screw all the way down an spun the splines in the long studs

People seem to do the strangest things to avoid doing it right sometimes

The Evos need the right wheels to clear the brakes without having to use spacers. Unfortunately wheels that fit aren't cheap. So they get bodged.

Thing was. When I bought the car it had Evo 8 wheels fitted, no spacers needed, but we’re fitted. Might have been the person before the guy I bought it from, god knows what the story is
But it’s being put right

Had planned on a quiet day as I’m heading to salou tomorrow but the mrs said go down an help her dad with the car
Landed down an he was spraying the rest of the doors and wing

Then went in and pulled the rest of the long studs out an fitted OE studs, then fitted the front coilovers
Left the rear passenger side studs an standard strut in till I got new brake shoes an fitting kit. Just so I know what way it all fits together
Then started to fit some bits

Down at 8 this morning for 20 mins
Hung the last of the heavy parts so the father in law can work away

Hope he’s been working away at it from we went on holidays. If not I’ll blow a fuse

Test fitted the gauges to the carbon pod
Nice right fit, then quickly wired them to make sure all worked

Have boxes of stuff to fit
Cusco rear strut brace
Have rear discs an pads
Front pads
Had my front discs skimmed as they are 2 piece an just had surface rust
