Until he braked and water poured down the front of the car ;)

Old school headlight washers

The last thing you wanted to do with a 1985 1.1 Fiesta was allow even more water into the engine bay lol. None of that new fangled electronic ignition in them. Oh it had home made headlight washer too

why would it foul the bulk head? surely it was already in there in the first place with out any fouling

Actually it wasn't. This engine has a different head, different cam cover and different inlet manifold.

The only thing that hasn't been changed is the shell. Everything else is being vastly improved as quite frankly it was build like f uck all by Reyland.

In fairness to them it was built near 20 years ago, a lot of methods and parts have improved massively since then

In fairness to them the exact same parts and methods where around 20 years ago. They just executed them badly. There's no excuse for shoddy wiring, badly fitted dash board and a horribly plumbed fuel system.

As above really, very little of this car is going to be 'original' in terms of how people remember it from years ago, it was basically brought over here as a rolling shell.

So further tweaking, changing and enhancing what was already a bespoke build is proving to throw up a few more challenges just.
