To stop that happening again you need create another earth onto the bulb circuit board.
Apparently the original wiring wasnt up to the job, hence the reason you see so many e46 with fecked up rear lights.
Its very easy Davey.
Just tap into the brown wire (i think, its probably the pin that burnt out) and take a wire off it and stick a spade connection on it and there is a tab already on the bulb board that you can use.
Heres a link, click on the pdf;

Same principle though. Have you any wee tabs on the bulb holder that would accept a spade connector?
Nothing at all. Mine is faultless with 206k, didn't need a single thing for mot not one single fault lol
Any better pics @davey-dimples ?
Cant really tell from that pic. Ideally you would want it removable for when the light has to come out.
Yeah that would work, it was just handier for me to use a wee tab on the bulb holder.
Run of luck continues with two burst tyres on one pothole. The joys.
Sounds like the handbrake is sticking on
You'll know better if you get the disc/drum off for a duke.
Pad sticking to the disc every so slightly. Does it only do it when it's wettish?
