It it now leaking from the gearbox sump, supposedly common problem, as the previous owner tried to sort it.

Oh and is that some kind of gay dragon badge on the front? Looks good, ill pop up during the week if you're on nights!

Well went out to admire the beast and found this little present on the floor , I thought is was some of my sex wee after our day together, but no, ATF fluid!!!

So after a good few hours tweaking bolts and running it, it was still seeping from the sump. So after a couple of hours and snapping a fecking bolt into the gearbox, resulting in a trip to get some easy outs and heli coils, I managed to get the sump off.

Just Got to get the metre long dip stick pipe out of the engine bay and clean and reseal it after some helicoiling as the previous owners dad had basically bodged it back on.

Always tell when I'm working, as hammers are usually involved at one point thought about getting George to angle grind the fecker to break the old sealant!

Got the gearbox sump off and prepped it for resealing.

Got the gearbox back together but it's still seeping a wee bit but no where near as much as before, so a wee bit of tweaking and it should be sorted, gave it a quick wash and a few more pics.

It's looking high due to the suspension on the high setting.

Someone must have pried the sump off with a screw driver in the past and put a very small kink in it or something if its still leaking.

Either that, or else you just done a terrible job fitting it :p

It's not leaking from the sump as such Just need a decent washer for the sump plug, but theyre is another leak somewhere, just need to find it, but yes, my mechanical skills are slowly improving, well my bodges are getting better :p Give me a wiring snag anyday! :grinning:

Just realised they are staggered, the MPS no likey staggered. You might have seen me, I was in Carrick last week a couple of days. Are you driving the Soarer these days? Just to know what to look out for!
